Job summary

Restaurant Associates in New York seeks a Café Manager to oversee the café’s daily operations, align with the client’s culture and Health Department regulations, and ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation. You will lead and train staff, manage payroll and costs, develop front-of-house procedures, and maintain outstanding service while upholding sustainability standards across campus accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-volume food service environment.
• Strong hospitality knowledge and commitment to sustainability.
• Experience with web-based ordering and client profiles.
• Proficient in Google Suite, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Able to meet sector-unit specific uniform standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee café operations, ensuring quality and compliance with client guidelines.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff; manage performance.
• Ensure high quality food presentation and sustainability.
• Maintain client relations and prompt responses to feedback.
• Analyze weekly performance, manage inventory and payroll.
• Plan events and development of sales programs with campus teams.
• Ensure health, safety, and allergen compliance.
