Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator in the US to lead cross-discipline BIM on transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate architecture, structures, roadway design, and MEP into federated, clash-checked models.

The ideal candidate has Navisworks proficiency, Autodesk suite expertise, and a proven ability to mentor production staff and interface with clients and agencies across offices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience in CADD/BIM for transportation/m multimodal projects.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation, roadway, and MEP to create a federated, clash-checked model.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for deliverables.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
• Support field assignments and develop BIM Execution Plans.
