Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross‑discipline coordination on transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate intelligent models across architecture, structures, transportation, and MEP, run clash detections, and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows.

You will mentor production staff and interface with clients and subconsultants to ensure model deliverables meet requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination: coordinate intelligent models across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection: run clash checks and resolve conflicts across disciplines.
• Standards & governance: establish CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentorship: provide design sketches and guidance to production staff and train teams.
• Intelligent Modeling Coordinator: ensure coordination between design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Crosscheck drawings for consistency with standards and layering guidelines.
• CADD/technical support: verify model integrity and interoperability across Autodesk/Bentley toolsets.
• Review vendor prints and perform basic design calculations as required.
