Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to drive model coordination for transit and multimodal projects, integrating architectural, structural, transportation and MEP models into federated, clash-checked deliverables.

The role requires expert Navisworks/Autodesk Civil 3D/Revit skills, along with mentoring and enforcing design standards across offices. Occasional travel and a hybrid US-based work setup are possible.

Qualifications

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation, roadway design and MEP.
• Strong working knowledge of transit agency design standards and DOT standards, and the ability to enforce CADD/BIM standards.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — serve as the Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit/multimodal projects across design disciplines.
• Model coordination & clash detection — run Navisworks clash detection and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows based on Autodesk stack.
• Mentorship — provide guidance to production staff and train across offices.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to ensure coordination between design team.
• Performs crosscheck of drawings for consistency with QC standards.
• Provides general engineering support tasks such as plotting, transmittals, file management, and coordinating specs with drawings.
