Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability examinations for Veterans applying for VA benefits. This role focuses on reviewing medical records, performing focused physical assessments, documenting findings, and providing objective medical opinions to support VA determinations.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in Helena, MT with about 10% travel. This is not a treatment role; no prescribing, no ongoing patient management.

Qualifications

Graduate of a professional nursing program accredited by a U.S. government entity.
Active, valid, and unrestricted NP license; no barring across states.
Minimum of one year of NP experience.
BLS certification with renewals.
Strong documentation and time management, plus basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct C&P disability examinations for Veterans per VA requirements.
Review medical records and diagnostic data before and during exams.
Perform focused physical assessments related to claimed conditions.
Prepare objective medical opinions and accurate documentation.
Use exam and case management systems to organize workload.
Ensure timely submission and compliance with HIPAA and Loyal Source policies.
Occasional travel to support other Loyal Source clinics (~10%).
