Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation & Pension examinations for Veterans seeking VA disability benefits. You will review medical histories, conduct focused exams, and render objective opinions on disability impacts.

The role may involve charting from home and requires collaboration with QA and healthcare teams to ensure compliant, high-quality reports. 10% travel to clinics is expected.

Qualifications

Active Nurse Practitioner license in the United States.
Minimum of 1 year of NP clinical experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with renewals.
Experience with medical disability evaluations or related fields preferred.
Familiarity with VA/MDE processes and HIPAA compliance is essential.

Responsibilities

Conduct Compensation & Pension examinations for Veterans applying for VA disability benefits.
Review medical history and perform focused physical evaluations.
Render objective medical opinions on disability impact and work capability.
Document findings in VA-compliant reports and manage case workload with QA coordination.
