Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability examinations for Veterans applying for VA benefits. This is not a treatment role; no prescribing or ongoing patient management.

In Hampton, VA, you will review medical records, perform focused physical assessments, document findings objectively, and provide medical opinions to support VA determinations. Travel is approximately 10% to supporting Loyal Source clinics.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Active, valid Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
Minimum of one year of Nurse Practitioner experience.
Current BLS certification with renewals.

Responsibilities

Conduct C&P disability examinations for Veterans per VA requirements.
Review medical records and diagnostic tests before and during exams.
Perform focused physical assessments related to claimed conditions.
Prepare objective, evidence-based medical opinions and complete documentation.
Use examination and case management systems to organize workload and submit findings.
Maintain compliance with VA training, HIPAA, privacy, and Loyal Source policies.
