Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed Audiologist for a flexible, non-treatment C&P evaluation role focused on Veterans. You will conduct VA-required audiology evaluations, review records, obtain history, perform testing, and document findings in VA formats.

This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to supplement your income while maintaining professional integrity. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with per-evaluation compensation, flexible scheduling, and in-person

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Must have access to a calibrated audiometer capable of performing VA-required hearing evaluations.
• Must have access to a diagnostic tympanometer capable of tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing.
• Master's Degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.
• Comfortable performing Maryland CNC speech recognition testing.
• Access to equipment such as SHOEBOX Audiometer, Interacoustics Titan with diagnostic modules, Interacoustics AT235 / AT235h, GSI TympStar Pro, Kuduwave, or comparable diagnostic audiology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Review relevant medical records and examination information.
• Obtain relevant history through focused interviews.
• Perform required audiometric testing and related clinical documentation.
• Prepare reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide objective, fact-based findings without influencing the outcome of a Veteran's claim.
• Submit completed examination documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Follow all applicable ethical, legal, professional, and confidentiality requirements.
