Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed Audiologist to conduct C&P evaluations for Veterans as an independent contractor. This role focuses on structured testing, records review, and documentation in VA-compliant formats.

The position offers flexible scheduling and in-person opportunities, with no ongoing patient care or insurance billing. You will provide objective, fact-based findings and timely reports for veteran claims.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Must have access to a calibrated audiometer for VA evaluations.
• Must have access to a diagnostic tympanometer for tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing.
• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.
• Experience with Maryland CNC speech recognition testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Review medical records and gather focused histories.
• Perform audiometric testing and document findings.
• Prepare clear VA-formatted reports.
• Maintain objectivity and avoid influencing outcomes.
• Submit reports within required timeframes.
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
