Job summary

empower Mental Health seeks a licensed audiologist to conduct VA-related C&P evaluations as a non-treatment contractor. You will review records, obtain focused histories, perform VA-aligned audiometric testing, and document findings in VA-ready reports.

This 1099 role emphasizes objectivity, timely reporting, and clear separation from ongoing patient care. Equipment access and flexible scheduling are offered to accommodate clinicians’ existing practices.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license required.
• Must have access to calibrated equipment for VA-required evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Review medical records and obtain focused history.
• Obtain history through focused interviews and perform audiometric testing.
• Prepare reports in VA formats.
• Submit documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Follow ethical, legal and confidentiality requirements.
