Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed Audiologist to perform VA C&P evaluations as a structured, non-treatment role. This 1099 contractor position focuses on evaluation, testing, and documentation for veterans, with no ongoing patient care or insurance billing.

Flexible scheduling and in-person opportunities are available to supplement income while delivering meaningful services. The role requires an active Audiologist license, access to VA-grade testing equipment, and adherence to VA

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Must have access to calibrated audiometer for VA evaluations.
• Must have access to diagnostic tympanometer for tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations based on VA guidelines.
• Review relevant medical records and examination information.
• Obtain relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
• Perform required audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required.
• Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide objective, fact-based findings without influencing the outcome of a Veteran's claim.
• Submit completed examination documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Follow all applicable ethical, legal, professional, and confidentiality requirements.
