Job summary

TMX Group in New York is seeking a driven Buy-Side Business Development Manager to lead account penetration for a select list of buy-side clients, positioning Verity Data and Verity RMS within the TMX Datalinx suite.

You will develop an ABS-focused strategy, build a robust pipeline, and engage with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and senior executives to expand revenue across Verity Data, RMS, and Index offerings.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of sales or account management selling market data to North American buy-side institutions.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with decision-makers (PMs, Analysts, DORs, COOs, CTOs) across hedge funds and asset managers.
• Hunter mentality with ABS focus to generate new ARR.
• Proven ability to prospect, qualify opportunities, manage deal cycles, close net-new business and hit quota.
• Excellent presentation and consultative communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Account Penetration: expand wallet share using ABS framework across target buy-side accounts.
• Pipeline Management: build and manage a 2.5X target pipeline across TMX Datalinx product lines.
• Achieve Sales Quota: quota across Verity Data, Verity RMS, and Index products.
• Client Engagement: conduct meetings with PMs, Analysts, and senior leaders to uncover opportunities.
• Product Positioning: pitch Verity Data, RMS, and Index alongside TMX Datalinx offerings.
• Collaborative Account Management: partner with Sales Specialists, Product Managers, and Contract Analysts.
