PlanIT Group is seeking a Business Systems Analyst - Level III to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation. Incumbents function as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise.

• Duration: One year plus annual extensions

Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions supporting business strategies. Document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and develop system specifications. Act as a liaison between IT and users, leveraging both business and technical expertise.

Required Skills

• Payment Industry Experience: understanding of payment gateways, processors, acquiring banks, payment types (Credit Cards, ACH, PayPal, Digital Wallets), and payment workflows.
• Technical Skills: familiarity with high-volume payment systems, APIs (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON), encryption, tokenization, payment fraud detection, and transaction processing systems.
• Agile Methodology: experience with Scrum, Kanban, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and tools like VersionOne or ALM.
• Business Analysis & Communication: requirement elicitation, stakeholder workshops, workflow documentation, wireframes, and process diagrams.
• Problem-Solving: troubleshooting payment issues, scalable solutions, and prioritization skills.

• Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must obtain a Public Trust Clearance, pass drug screening, criminal, and credit checks.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder, residing in the US for the past 5 years, with limited travel outside the US.
