First American is looking to add a Business Segment Manager. In this role, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational functions related to providing Title services to customers. The BSM oversees production operations supporting multiple counties and is accountable for both internal and offshore production units.

What You'll Do:
  • Supervise staff, coach and mentor team members, manage performance and development, assign work, monitor progress, hire, train, and provide feedback.
  • Manage employee relations, conduct performance appraisals, handle salary administration, incentives, hiring, and time-off approvals.
  • Support Title Production operations, monitor and improve organizational performance, and manage costs.
  • Analyze financial data to improve unit cost performance and operational efficiency.
  • Manage workflow processes, electronic databases, and quality control initiatives.
  • Communicate roles and objectives clearly, delegate tasks, and identify training needs.
  • Lead process improvement and problem-solving activities to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely service.
  • Oversee daily operations of both onshore and offshore staff, ensuring organizational flexibility and reviewing outsourcing strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate costs, and handle customer requests and complaints.
  • Analyze quality metrics, own process results, and meet turnaround time goals, providing regular reports.
  • Travel to offsite locations as needed.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing large, diverse, and virtual teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in management or leadership roles.
  • Title Examiner background is required.

Pay Range: $72,125-$96,125 annually. This range is an estimate based on various factors including experience, skills, and location.
