First American is looking to add a Business Segment Manager. In this role, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational functions related to providing Title services to customers. The BSM oversees production operations supporting multiple counties and manages internal and offshore production units.

What You'll Do:
  1. Supervise and mentor staff, responsible for performance management, development, and work delegation. Handle hiring, training, and employee feedback.
  2. Manage employee relations, performance appraisals, salary administration, incentives, and hiring processes.
  3. Support Title Production operations, working with managers to monitor and improve organizational performance.
  4. Assist financial organization in improving unit cost performance, analyzing P&L and cost data, and implementing financial improvements.
  5. Manage interactions with workflow systems and electronic imaging databases.
  6. Ensure clear communication of roles and responsibilities; provide feedback and training needs.
  7. Identify and initiate process improvements to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely service.
  8. Drive daily operations, including managing onshore and offshore staff, promoting cross-training, and reviewing outsourcing volumes.
  9. Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations, quality, and turn-around times, and handle customer requests and complaints.
  10. Analyze quality metrics, focus on quality improvement, and meet quality goals.
  11. Own turnaround time goals, provide weekly reports and analysis.
  12. Travel to offsite locations as needed.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) for problem-solving.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing large, diverse, and virtual teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Background as a Title Examiner is required.

Pay Range: $72,125-$96,125 annually. This range is an estimate and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
