First American is looking to add a Business Segment Manager. In this role, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational functions related to providing Title services to customers. The BSM oversees production operations supporting multiple counties and is accountable for internal and offshore production units.

What You'll Do:
  1. Supervise and mentor staff, responsible for performance management, development, and work delegation. Hire, train, and provide feedback to subordinates.
  2. Manage employee relations, performance appraisals, salary administration, and hiring processes, including timecard and employee change approvals.
  3. Support the management of Title Production operations, working to improve organizational performance and efficiency.
  4. Assist in financial management by analyzing monthly P&L and unit cost data, and implementing operational changes to improve financial outcomes.
  5. Manage process workflow interactions with systems like FAST and electronic imaging databases.
  6. Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities through effective communication and feedback.
  7. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce costs, and meet turnaround time service level agreements.
  8. Drive daily operations of the segment, including managing onshore and offshore staff, and reviewing outsourcing volumes.
  9. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate costs, and handle customer requests and complaints.
  10. Analyze quality metrics with the Quality Lead to meet quality goals.
  11. Own turnaround time targets, providing regular reports and analysis.
  12. Travel to offsite locations as needed.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing large, diverse, and virtual teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of related experience and 2 years of management/leadership experience.
  • Title Examiner background is required.

Pay Range: $72,125-$96,125 annually. This range is an estimate and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
