First American is looking to add a Business Segment Manager. In this role, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational functions related to providing Title services to customers. The BSM oversees production operations supporting multiple counties and is accountable for internal and offshore production units.

What You'll Do:
  1. Supervise and mentor staff, responsible for performance management, development, and work delegation. Hire, train, and evaluate employees, providing feedback and identifying training needs.
  2. Manage employee relations, performance appraisals, salary administration, and recruitment processes, including timecard and employee change approvals.
  3. Support Title Production operations, working with managers to monitor and improve organizational performance and costs.
  4. Analyze financial data to improve unit cost performance and make operational changes to enhance financial outcomes.
  5. Manage interactions with process workflow systems and electronic imaging databases.
  6. Ensure clear communication of roles, responsibilities, goals, and objectives; provide feedback and delegate tasks accordingly.
  7. Identify and initiate process improvements and problem-solving activities to ensure high quality, low cost, and timely service.
  8. Oversee day-to-day operations of the segment, including onshore and offshore staff, ensuring organizational flexibility through cross-training and reviewing outsourcing volumes.
  9. Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations, quality, and turnaround times, and handle customer requests and complaints.
  10. Analyze quality metrics and work with the Quality Lead to meet quality goals.
  11. Own turnaround time goals, monitor performance, and provide weekly reports and analysis.
  12. Travel to offsite employee locations as needed.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) for problem solving.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with internal, external, management, and offshore teams.
  • Experience managing large, diverse, and virtual teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 4 years of related experience.
  • At least 2 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Title Examiner background is required.

Pay Range: $72,125-$96,125 annually. This range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on various factors.
