What We Do

First American is looking to add a Business Segment Manager. In this role, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational functions related to providing Title services to customers. The BSM oversees production operations of multiple counties and is accountable for internal and offshore production units.

What You'll Do:
  1. Supervise staff, coach and mentor team members, manage performance, and facilitate development. Assign work, monitor progress, hire, train, and evaluate employees.
  2. Manage employee relations, conduct performance reviews, handle salary administration, incentives, and recruitment processes.
  3. Support Title Production operations, working with managers to improve organizational performance.
  4. Assist in financial management, analyze monthly P&L and unit cost data, and utilize financial tools to optimize performance.
  5. Manage workflow processes and electronic databases such as TRD, DATATREE, and DATATRACE.
  6. Ensure clear communication of goals and responsibilities, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
  7. Implement process improvements and problem-solving activities to maintain high quality, low costs, and meet turnaround time goals.
  8. Oversee daily operations of the segment, including onshore and offshore staff, ensuring organizational flexibility.
  9. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate costs, and handle customer requests and complaints.
  10. Collaborate with Quality Lead to analyze quality metrics and improve service quality.
  11. Own turnaround time targets, provide regular performance reports, and analyze results.
  12. Travel to offsite locations as required.
What You'll Bring:
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) for problem-solving.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with diverse teams and clients.
  • Experience managing large, diverse, and virtual teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Title Examiner background is required.

Pay Range: $72,125 - $96,125 annually. This range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and location.
