Responsibilities

Play an integral part in achieving nursing center business excellence goals as our Business Office Manager, overseeing census, billing, accounts receivable, Medicaid application tracking, and other accounts receivable functions.

  1. Lead, guide, and direct staff that may include an Assistant Business Office Manager, Bookkeeper, and Receptionists.
  2. Manage patient/resident trust funds and confidential files in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  3. Follow Revenue Cycle Management business processes and oversee timely and accurate completion of all business office functions, including census, ancillaries, billing, adjustments, collections, write-offs, refunds, and deposits.
  4. Meet with patients/residents upon admission and discharge to explain financial obligations.
  5. Ensure staff compliance with segregation of duties for cash handling and posting.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with a minimum of five years' experience in long-term care billing and collections (preferred).
  • Additional coursework in accounting or finance is recommended.

Restrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law, and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.

Salary Range

USD $45,000.00 - USD $52,000.00 per year.
