Job description

Business Office Manager (I) (Administrative)

We are seeking a Business Office Manager to support facility operations by maintaining business office systems and supervising staff. The role includes overall supervision and management of the business office team.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain managed care and Medi-Cal or Medicaid authorizations, including bed holds.
  • Manage resident trust funds, including printing and distributing monthly statements.
  • Supervise business office staff, including disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Maintain census records and report status changes.
  • Attend stand-up meetings upon request by the Administrator.
  • Assist with Medi-Cal or Medicaid applications.
  • Prepare TARS as needed.
  • Track Medi-Cal and Medicaid redeterminations.
  • Participate in billing and payment processes, including preparing bank deposits.
  • Undertake collection activities for bad debts.
  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payments, proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Preferably, at least one year of experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medi-Cal, and Medicare.
