Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive planning and execution of high-impact business development and marketing initiatives for our Corporate and AI practice areas, with hybrid or remote options.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, translate priorities into actionable plans, and deliver measurable outcomes through pitches, reports, and client-facing materials, supporting growth and client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or related environment.
• Prior experience with deal reporting, pipeline management, and competitive market intelligence in a legal industry setting is strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to draft and produce compelling proposals, collateral, research reports, and client-facing presentation materials.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet research tools.
• Knowledge of InterAction and Foundation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the group’s attorneys, client base, experience, and market capabilities, and effectively communicate the firm’s and the group’s value proposition and differentiators to a variety of audiences through clear, persuasive writing.
• Collaborate with BDMC teams to raise the SBU's internal and external visibility and positioning in key markets through speaking engagements, sponsorships, advertisements, public relations, social media, and other activities.
• Lead the collection, analysis and quality control of deal reporting, ensuring accurate profiling of practice experience and identifying trends and insights to inform business development strategy.
• Support planning and execution of BDMC events and webinars, including attendee lists and tailored materials to enhance engagement.
