Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive high-quality BD and marketing projects for the Corporate and AI practice areas, including cross-functional coordination with BD, Marketing, and Communications. The role supports senior managers and attorneys to translate priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

You will collaborate on reports, client materials, and sponsorships, contributing to cross-selling and visibility in key markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field; 3+ years in law firm or professional services preferred.
• Experience with deal reporting, pipeline management, and competitive market intelligence in a legal setting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with deal databases and marketing intelligence platforms and CRM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain understanding of attorneys, clients, and market capabilities; communicate value proposition clearly.
• Collaborate with BDMC team to lead multi-team efforts and deliver actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate with research for reports and distill insights for attorneys and clients.
• Lead deal reporting by coordinating with attorneys and deal teams and maintaining data in firm databases.
• Draft deal descriptions and experience entries for pitches, league tables, and submissions.
• Drive ROI analysis and support planning for BD/marketing projects and industry verticals.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and advance campaigns to grow client relationships.
• Prepare compelling client-facing materials including pitches, RFPs, and presentations.
