Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive marketing and client-relations initiatives for the Corporate and AI practice groups. You will coordinate across the Business Development, Marketing, and Communications Department to translate priorities into actionable plans, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with attorneys and business professionals, drafting pitches and RFPs, analyzing data, and supporting firm-wide growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services.
• Familiarity with deal reporting, pipeline management, and market intelligence in a legal setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep understanding of the group’s attorneys, client base, experience, and capabilities; communicate value proposition clearly.
• Collaborate with BDMC to lead cross‑team efforts and translate priorities into actionable plans.
• Coordinate with attorneys and BDMC teams to deliver reports, pitches, and marketing materials.
• Lead collection, organization, and maintenance of data in BD databases (RFP/pitch database, ROI, etc.).
• Research profile-raising opportunities and coordinate sponsorships, speaking engagements, and events.
