Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive proactive BD and marketing initiatives for the Corporate and AI practice areas. The role acts as a key coordinator across attorneys, BDMC, Marketing, and Communications to translate priorities into actionable plans, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.

The position may be filled in a hybrid capacity at office locations (preferred) or remotely in the firm’s virtual office, The Link, with responsibilities spanning data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or related environment.
• Experience with deal reporting, pipeline management, and competitive market intelligence preferred.
• Familiarity with deal databases and marketing intelligence platforms (Pitchbook, Mergermarket, Bloomberg) and CRM systems such as InterAction and Foundation is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to draft and produce compelling proposals, collateral, research reports, and client-facing presentation materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the group’s value proposition to audiences through clear messaging.
• Collaborate with BDMC teams to contribute to and lead multi-team efforts.
• Produce reports, distilling key findings into concise summaries for attorneys.
• Draft pitches, RFPs, presentations, and client-facing materials.
• Lead collection, analysis, and quality control of deal reporting data.
• Coordinate BD databases and ROI analyses for business development initiatives.
• Plan and execute BD events and webinars, including attendee follow-up.
