The Business Development Manager (BDM) provides support and customer service to patients, advocating and assisting those coping with limb loss or other orthotic/prosthetic needs. The role requires a thorough understanding of prosthetics, orthotics, and healthcare. Responsibilities include patient consultation, support throughout treatment, and building relationships with healthcare providers to foster referral patterns. The BDM manages communication with patients, internal teams, and healthcare providers involved in patient care.

Your Impact
  • Contact new patients post-initial consultation
  • Coordinate AMPOWER visits
  • Build and maintain referral relationships
  • Support post-surgery patients
  • Engage patients through follow-ups and appointments
  • Provide information and resources to patients and families
  • Assist with insurance documentation
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenue and generate new referrals
  • Work in hospitals and rehab facilities, complete vendor credentialing
  • Monitor referral trends and develop growth plans
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in a patient care environment
  • Ability to be credentialed at major hospitals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as ATC, CNA, MA, EMT, Surgical Technician, LVN, PTA, OTA, or similar
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
Additional Success Factors
  • Experience in medical sales, especially therapeutic, home health, or hospice sales
  • Motivated, target-driven, with strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient in MS Office, experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel
