The Business Development Manager (BDM) offers superior patient support and customer service through proactive communication, patient advocacy, and emotional and educational support to those coping with limb loss or other orthotic and prosthetic needs. The role requires a thorough understanding of prosthetics, orthotics, and healthcare, guiding patients from referral through recovery, and building relationships with healthcare providers to foster referral patterns.

Your Impact
  • Follow up with new patients post-consultation
  • Coordinate AMPOWER visits
  • Build and maintain referral relationships
  • Support post-surgery patient care
  • Engage patients with ongoing communication and support
  • Provide information and resources to patients and families
  • Assist with insurance documentation
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenue and growth
  • Work in various healthcare settings and complete vendor credentialing
  • Monitor referral performance and develop growth plans
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years in a patient care environment
  • Ability to credential at major hospitals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as ATC, CNA, MA, EMT, Surgical Technician, LVN, PTA, Physician Extenders, OTA, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
Additional Success Factors
  • Experience in medical sales, therapeutic sales, or related fields
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.com
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
