The Business Development Manager (BDM) provides patient support and customer service through proactive communication, patient advocacy, and emotional and educational support for those coping with limb loss or orthotic and prosthetic needs. The role requires a thorough understanding of prosthetics, orthotics, and healthcare, guiding patients from referral through treatment and rehab. Building relationships with healthcare providers and developing new referral opportunities are key responsibilities. The BDM manages daily communication with patients, healthcare teams, and internal staff.

Your Impact
  • Follow up with new patients after initial consult
  • Coordinate AMPOWER visits
  • Build and maintain referral relationships
  • Support post-surgery patients
  • Maintain patient engagement through follow-ups
  • Provide information and resources to patients and families
  • Assist with insurance documentation
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenue and generate new referrals
  • Work in various care settings and complete vendor credentialing
  • Monitor territory performance and develop growth plans
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in a patient care environment
  • Ability to obtain hospital credentialing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as ATC, CNA, MA, EMT, Surgical Technician, LVN, PTA, Physician Extenders, OTA, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
Additional Success Factors
  • Experience in medical sales, especially therapeutic, home health, or hospice
  • Motivated, target-driven, and independent
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Salesforce experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
