Job summary

Express Global Logistics, Delhi Branch, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business across Air/Sea Import/Export, Customs Clearance, and Transportation. The role covers the Delhi NCR market, with a focus on deepening relationships with existing accounts and negotiating quotes with customers.

You will report to the Branch Head and work on developing strategies, maintaining a strong sales pipeline, and coordinating with operations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; logistics/supply chain background preferred.
• 5+ years in a similar business development or sales role.
• Strong time-management and result-oriented mindset.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills; writing proficiency.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities by identifying potential customers for freight forwarding.
• Develop and implement strategies to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management.
• Create strategies to increase sales and market share in freight forwarding.
• Track and analyse sales data to forecast revenue and trends.
• Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients with excellent service.
• Act as main contact for customers and ensure timely satisfaction.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction by addressing issues promptly.
• Maintain records of sales activities, client communications, and pipeline.
• Provide regular updates to management on progress and market developments.
• Prepare reports on sales forecasts and competitor activities.
• Work with operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
