Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to join the Applications Engineering team. This role bridges technical radio frequency capabilities with DoD customer requirements and emerging trends.

Reporting to the Director of Applications Engineering, you will work with Engineering and BD to demonstrate interoperability, conduct field trials, and support proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance.

Responsabilités

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernization efforts, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing data and benchmarking.
• Align with BD to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Contribute technical input for RFI/RFP responses.
