Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Air Force requirements and emerging trends. You will support field trials, system demos, and technical planning with the Applications Engineering team.

This role offers up to 50% travel for field tests and demonstrations, with a flexible remote-working option depending on location and program needs, contributing to defense technology roadmap inputs.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation

Mansioni

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air execution of field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to leverage continuous testing and competitive benchmarking data, helping verify that proposed solution architectures are technically sound
• Maintain close alignment with the Business Development team to support their ongoing technical needs and align work with established strategic priorities
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations tailored to airborne, tactical edge, and expeditionary airbase networking needs
• Perform market research to identify potential integrations with industry partners and test end-to-end network architectures
• Assist Business Development in engaging with technical stakeholders across Department of the Air Force Program Executive Offices (DAF PEO C3BM, PEO C3I/N, AFLCMC, AFRL) and TOC-L leads
• Serve as an internal voice for the Airman by gathering field feedback and operational requirements, helping translate them into product roadmap inputs, and tracking engineering progress against operational needs
• Travel Requirement – 50%; frequent travel to customer sites, research laboratories, and strategic field-testing environments
