Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking a Business Applications Analyst to identify simple to moderate business requirements and translate them into packaged software configurations and tests. The role includes configuring the packaged software, participating in process design, and system testing.
The successful candidate will act as SME for an existing application area, support modification requirements, and help drive solutions within agreed timelines and budgets, mentoring junior staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree; or 3+ years in related field.
- 3+ years of experience in related field.
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for an existing application area.
- Assist in development of modification requirements and interface design specs.
- Establish and maintain Packaged Software file configuration.
- Plan and liaison with business areas during development and implementation.
- Identify best practices and implement them within the department.
- Analyze problems and incidents; implement solutions and communicate results.
- Complete project tasks within time and budget.
- Provide direction to junior staff and support to senior team members.
- Provide configuration expertise to customers and partners.
