Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Burn Unit Registered Nurse to join the Joseph M. Still Burn Center team. You will care for patients with diverse burn injuries, coordinate care across a skilled multidisciplinary team and contribute to healing journeys from admission to discharge.

Responsibilities include pain management, wound care, and educating patients and families. The role requires RN licensure, ACLS/BCLS readiness and a nursing degree (BS or ADN).

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 1 year of employment
• BCLS certification within 30 days of employment
• RN license and registration
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout care journey
• Perform expert procedures and medication administration including pain relief and fluid therapy, wound care and dressing changes
• Educate and support patients and families to navigate recovery and make informed decisions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care
