Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta seeks a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to care for patients with burn injuries in a dedicated ICU Burn Center, with stays ranging from days to weeks.

You will assess patients, manage pain and fluids, perform wound care, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include RN licensure, a Bachelor’s or Associate degree, 2 years in Stepdown/Critical Care, and ACLS/BCLS certifications within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in Georgia
• Bachelor's or Associate degree required
• 2 years of experience in a Stepdown or Critical Care setting
• BCLS & ACLS certifications required within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety.
• Perform procedures and medication administration – including wound care and dressing changes.
• Educate and support patients and families with compassion to navigate recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care tailored to needs
