Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients with burn injuries and join a multidisciplinary team devoted to healing and compassion. You will deliver advanced wound care, manage pain, and educate patients and families while observing progress from admission through recovery.

Requirements: an active RN license, ACLS within 1 year of start, BLS within 30 days, and 1 year of Medical-Surgical or wound care experience.

Qualifications

ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
1 year of Medical Surgical or wound care experience required.

Responsibilities

Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and wound care – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs
