Job summary
Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to care for patients with burn injuries, with stays from days to weeks, focusing on comfort, healing and family-centered care within a multidisciplinary team.
The role requires current RN licensure, an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, and ACLS and BLS certification within 30 days of start date; at least 2 years Medical-Surgical experience.
Qualifications
- ACLS and BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- RN licensure is required.
- 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
- Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
- Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
- Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs
