Job summary

RXO Inc. is seeking a motivated logistics professional in Charlotte, NC to cultivate carrier relationships and secure freight while maintaining open communication with carriers and customers.

This role emphasizes timely pickup/delivery coordination, adherence to Responsible Care protocols, and accurate data upkeep in RXO systems. The ideal candidate has bulk transportation experience and strong negotiation, communication, and prospecting skills, with the ability to work independently and manage

Qualifications

• 2 years of bulk transportation experience (Tank Truck, Pneumatic and ISO's) required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience preferred.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion while working independently.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong core bulk carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers to move freight.
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process.
• Inform all parties of route changes, delays, freight concerns or other issues as necessary.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times, considering weather, traffic, miles and service rules.
• Follow procedures regarding Responsible Care duties for bulk transportation to protect shipment integrity and RXO brand.
• Accurately maintain and update information in the company's operating systems.
• Research databases for potential leads and make cold calls to prospects.
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure carrier charges are accurate.
