Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operations Engineer in Longmont, Colorado, to ensure reliable operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. The role emphasizes performing rounds, preventive maintenance, and safe, clean work environments.

You will manage HVAC, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and energy management, respond to emergencies, and document activities for supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property.
• Appropriate licenses/permits (e.g., Journeyman/Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, boiler license).
• Certification as Universal Technician for CFCs depending on licensure.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word and energy management familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance on MEP systems.
• Monitor and adjust heating, cooling, and air distribution equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safe operation of buildings.
• Inspect and repair doors, ceilings, and floors as needed.
• Document activities and report to supervisor.
