Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for assigned properties. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, and repairs to HVAC, boilers, pumps, and energy management systems to support a safe, comfortable building environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 5+ years of related experience, and relevant trade licenses.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Graduate of an apprentice program or trade school is preferred.
5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
Appropriate license/permit for trade may be required (Journeyman/Master Electrician, etc.).
Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and air distribution systems.
Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and control systems for a comfortable environment.
Document and report activities to supervisor and respond to emergencies as needed.
