Job summary

KW PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND CONSULTING is seeking a maintenance technician for our community. The role involves performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems and equipment, under limited supervision, to support resident services.

The position requires hands-on trade skills, safety awareness, and the ability to respond to emergencies quickly. Candidates should be prepared for an hourly, non-exempt schedule and potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance.
• Ability to react to emergencies within 30 minutes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Additional trade experience and certifications may be required at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for repairs and emergencies outside routine maintenance.
• Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.
• Works in a safe manner and addresses unsafe conditions to ensure safety.
• Perform minor carpentry, electrical, AC, plumbing, painting, flooring and other small repairs as daily work orders permit.
• Complete all required forms and work orders using the KWPMC system.
• May be required to participate in the on-call schedule rotation.
