Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Building Engineer 2 to operate and maintain critical building systems in a professional office environment. The role requires reading complex drawings and responding to after-hours emergencies to ensure uninterrupted service.

The candidate should have 2–4 years in building engineering, HVAC training, and familiarity with work-order systems. The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and tenant relations across multiple properties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–4 years experience as Maintenance Technician / Building Engineer or related field.
• HVAC certification or equivalent training required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Experience with web-based work order systems (Angus/Interwise/Energy Link) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, energy management, fire protection) to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret complex drawings, ladder diagrams and schematics.
• Plan and perform day-to-day operation, maintenance and repair of property systems and equipment.
