Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Building Engineer in Cambridge, MA to maintain and operate building systems and deliver tenant services. You will monitor HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, respond to requests, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, strong communication with tenants, and the ability to work across shifts including extended hours or on-call periods when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 2–4 years in maintenance or building engineering.
• HVAC and related technologies training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building systems for assigned properties.
• Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing and energy systems daily.
• Respond to tenant requests and document work orders promptly.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage preventive maintenance.
• Maintain safety, logs and records; work flexible hours as needed.
