Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Building Engineer to maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems at a large commercial facility. You will ensure safety, energy efficiency, and compliance while supporting preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.

The role requires 4–5 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or trade school, and CMMS and Microsoft Office skills. The job is onsite with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 4–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Ability to work onsite in Beaverton, OR; no visa sponsorship needed now or in future.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furnishings, fire life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and energy standards; support preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Manage classification, packaging, labeling, and documentation for air shipments of dangerous goods per IATA.
• Maintain energy management programs; optimize system efficiency.
• Assist in implementing preventive maintenance and ensure equipment operates within design specs.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean workplace.
• Review building system inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Mentor others and lead by example in CBRE RISE values.
