Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering team and oversee maintenance, repairs, and operations for high tenant satisfaction and safety. The role focuses on efficiency, budgeting, and staff development in a 100% in-office environment in Washington, DC.

Ideal candidate has extensive HVAC/BAS experience, strong leadership, and a proven track record in safety compliance and project management. Travel to properties may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ten or more years in the industry with supervisory experience.
• Trade licenses as required by local/state rules; CFC preferred or willing to obtain.
• Proficiency with CMMS, energy software, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor energy usage and ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee contractor work and tenant improvement projects.
• Prepare budgets and control inventory/purchasing.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Engineering staff; set performance goals.
• Coordinate with tenants, vendors, and property management for operations.
• Ensure safety protocols and building codes; document inspections and logs.
