Job summary

Lincoln Property Company seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering team, overseeing maintenance, safety, and operations across properties. You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy programs while coordinating with tenants and vendors.

The role requires extensive experience, supervision, and a proactive approach to safety, compliance, and budget management. This is an in-office position with opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ten years of industry-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Five years of supervisory, training, and mentoring experience including appraisals.
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain; engineering and trade licenses required per local/state/national rules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, energy management software, CMMS, and building platforms.
• Able to travel daily to assigned properties.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, BAS, fire protection, and life safety systems.
• Strong contract administration and project management skills.
• Familiar with blueprints and code requirements.
• Primary contact/first responder for building emergencies; after-hours availability as needed.
• Read/write English to understand manuals/procedures and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of building maintenance including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Monitor building energy usage and ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee contractor work and tenant improvement projects.
• Prepare budgets; control inventory and purchasing.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Engineering staff; develop performance goals.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers for reliable operations.
• Oversee vendor scopes of work and contract compliance.
• Conduct inspections and maintain documentation and safety logs.
• Enforce OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA safety protocols and lockout/tagout programs.
• Communicate with tenants, vendors, and leadership in a professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
