Job summary

KW Property Management and Consulting is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance on building interiors and exteriors, and to coordinate vendor repairs when needed. The role involves maintaining maintenance schedules, ensuring safety, and addressing emergencies in a populated property environment.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in building trades, strong communication skills, and the ability to work after hours for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance.
• Ability to react to emergencies within 30 minutes; after-hours may be required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Additional trade experience and certifications may be required at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on building interior and exterior.
• Schedule vendors and contractors for repairs outside routine maintenance.
• Maintain a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.
• Work in a safe manner and follow safety procedures to protect self and others.
• Maintain an operating environment to ensure resident services.
• Inspect mechanical systems and building areas for proper performance.
• Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems (AC, boilers).
• Complete all required forms and work orders using KWPMC system.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
