Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Oklahoma City, OK, seeks a Building Enclosure Project Associate to support field investigations, testing, and report preparation within our Southwest Building Science + Infrastructure team. You will collaborate with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary project teams to evaluate envelope performance and deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 2+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensure or certification preferred: P.E., RA, IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBECxP), UW–Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Perform building science & infrastructure related testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations and inspections of roofing and building enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings, figures, and site plans; assist with drafting or CAD work when needed.
• Perform building enclosure testing and assist with development of testing protocols and test plans.
• Interpret test results, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with forensic assessments, commissioning activities, and building enclosure investigations.
• Assist with design reviews, repair design for existing building envelope components, and peer review of specifications and submittals.
• Maintain familiarity with building codes and standards including IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, and CSI.
