Job summary

Lincoln Property Company seeks a Building Engineer I to maintain HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems and address tenant requests. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and ensure safety compliance under supervision.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, CFC certification preferred, and familiarity with BAS. Operate with OSHA/NFPA standards while coordinating with senior engineers and property managers. 100% in-office work is expected.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering licenses required per local/state/national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; BAS operation/troubleshooting.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop/phone apps for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests including hot/cold calls and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate when needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components.
• Maintain records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections and assist in preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; comply with OSHA/NFPA/NFC regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate with tenants, contractors, and property managers.
• Develop technical skills with senior engineers; participate in training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
