Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. The role focuses on routine maintenance, tenant requests, and safety under senior engineers.

The position requires 2–3 years of related experience and licenses as needed by local regulations; CFC certification is preferred. 100% in-office work with on-call rotations and safety compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering/trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop/phone applications for work order systems, email, and training platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and elevate issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies and assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; ensure OSHA, NEC, NFPA compliance; report hazards.
