Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components. The role focuses on routine maintenance, responding to tenant requests, and ensuring safety under supervision of senior engineers.

The position is 100% in-office, with on-call rotations and explicit safety responsibilities. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time

Qualifications

• Maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Responding to tenant requests and ensuring systems operate safely under guidance of senior engineers.
• Familiarity with BAS operation and basic software for work orders and training platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and upscale issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections and assist with preventive maintenance and contractor oversight.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; comply with OSHA, NEC, NFPA regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work with senior engineers.
• Develop technical skills and participate in professional development programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
