Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I to maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems on-site in a fast-paced environment. You will perform scheduled maintenance, respond to tenant requests, and ensure safety protocols are followed, with guidance from senior engineers.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience or certified training, and may include on-call rotations, documentation of inspections, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop/phone applications for work order systems, email, and training platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and elevate issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies; complete preventive maintenance tasks and inspect contractors.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; report hazards and participate in safety audits.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; support recovery during severe weather and outages.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work with senior engineers and technicians.
• Develop technical skills through mentorship and professional development programs.
